Found this the other day and I was reminded of a similar catalogue my mother had back in the sixties from Littlewoods, a classic era for rainwear fashions.
This Kays catalogue page shows a Pakamac for £19/11 (£1) or a nice flowery pattern one for 24s (£1.20). I wonder how many of these old shopping catalogues survive?

Would love to see more plastic rainwear photos from these catalogues.

I've got a couple of old Rukka catalogues, I'll see if I can find them, and scan everything for you.

Back in the 60's & 70's every home had a Littlewoods, Grattons, Kays etc catalogue.regenhoedje wrote:Would love to see more plastic rainwear photos from these catalogues.

Yes i remember all the catalogues with clear pvc macs and jelly jackets in the late 70's, early 80's. Freeman's was my favourite although Marshall Ward had loads too.
I was caught once by my sister, enjoying the bright coloured macs on those glossy coated pages too much. Luckily she was 7 years younger than me (about 7 or 8 at the time) so didn't really understand what i was doing.
When my mum threw out the catalogues, i would tear or cut out the pages and save them. However they would only last a few months as they got decorated very regularly!!!!

Re: Sixties shopping catalogues
Anyone who has HI-RES scans of the Kays catalogue like on the posted photo or similar from that or other catalogues let me know I have a lot of rainwear photos and videos in exchange.
