Posting and article and attaching a photo/s

I have been a member of this site for sometime now....BUT....I have never got my head around attaching a photos to illustrate an article.
AM I THE ONLY ONE.
Who finds this a problem.

Other sites have a simple attach a photo button.
Is there one here and I mam missing it.

Is there an 'Idiots Guide' somewhere to do it.

There has to be a simpler way............so I shall not bother posting photos.
I post enough on Tumblr and Deviant art showing mack photos

Yes I could do the above, but you have to be a member of the site to view the pictures, so you would have to join these sites.

To post an image put the following:

[*img]IMAGE LINK[*/img] remove the *
