There were 9 series between 1969 and 1979 and then they put out a final series in 1996. Beyond series 4 I can't remember seeing any PVC/plastic mac scenes but, that said, I haven't seen all the episodes. I can remember a promotional photo they did for the 1996 'final fling' where Polly James was wearing a silver PVC mac - 'un that's it really.....
