While I am saddened August is here and summer will be over soon, did have a moment of appreciation today (cloudy day here with thunderstorms in the forecast) to see someone with tall red lace up Ilse Jacobsen rain boots. I don’t see those too often here so was good to see.
I do miss the 2008-2011 era tall rain boot trend but glad to see them still.
Sighting today- tall, red Ilse Jacobsen rain boots
Re: Sighting today- tall, red Ilse Jacobsen rain boots
I'm unsure why the tall rain boots are not as common anymore. Everyone wears short rain boots now, only up to the ankle, instead of the full knee-length wellies of the 2010s. The tall wellies are far more stylish and of course far more practical. Those short boots are of no use in proper mud and rain. I'm often up to my knees in mud, I always wear the tall wellies!

I think you're talking about rain Chelsea boots? I own two pairs of them, they have two benefits: much better protection on rainy days than regular leather shoes or the popular sneakers, and second they don't look very much like rainboots as leather Chelseas are popular as well. So good e.g. for a walk to the office on rainy days (it's good to have a pair of leather shoes there for changing).
But yes, the best look is to get with tall wellies, I love them too. The Ilse Jacobsen lace up boots look very fashionable, I'd love to have a pair for at least one of my models for rainfashion photo shoots.

timeless fashion is the best fashion - classic "rubberized" raincoats are timeless

In my area they are still very popular. We often use rain boots so we can move easilygeometry dash scratch without getting our clothes dirty.
