Rainwear Recommendations

Post by marygaines »

Hello all,

We are planning a decent amount of travel in potentially rainy territory and so I'm looking for decent rainwear. I'm after the breatheable but waterproof fabrics, not the cheap but clammy plastic raincoats.

Recommendations?

You could go lightweight like the RAB downpour jacket or Patagonia rainshells which performs fantastic (had my RAB on today and stayed dry and zero condensation) they are normally around £110 each, if you want to go cheaper and still breathable look at keela or Regatta or craghopper. For real budget the mac in a sac range are lightweight and actually perform pretty well! Or if money is no object then brands like Montane, RAB’s Goretex/mountaineering range or Haglöfs are worth looking at.

Depends very much on budget how you want it to perform. Having owned two technical and independent outdoor shops happy to advise :)
Lets get swishy!
