Helping me my sbr mackintosh in public

Hello everyone so I would love to wear my sbr mackintosh in public in the shops or while I go for a nice but I feel to nervous to do so
Has anyone got any advice that help me out?

In all seriousness, it's not like you're wearing a shiny pink mac which would definitely draw unwanted attention.

I've worn my SBR macs in public more than once, and not one person paid me any attention. Of course it helps if it's cold and/or rainy too.

Really, it's all in your mind. Put it on, go out and enjoy wearing your mac. It's YOUR happiness. Not theirs.

Fabulous wear out , you be surprised what positive comments you get

Up until about 4 years ago I was too self conscious to wear a long shiny mac out in public but I started to wear one out early in the morning when I was unlikely to meet anyone, on one of these occasions I met a woman walking her dog and I was gripped by the fear that she might think I was a "flasher", but she just said hello as we passed and I realised then that I had been worrying about nothing. It is forecasting rain for this afternoon so I shall be out enjoying a walk in my rainwear.
It might help your confidence at first to go out for a walk say about 20 miles or more from home where you are less likely to meet anyone you know. In 4 years no one has said anything unpleasant to me.
