Think of your most favourite piece of rainwear you would like to own. If it's do-able then why not get it, or get it made. I wont bore you with the intricate details of mine, but the basics are, a very shiny longer length kagoul, great big attached hood, short front zipper, but get this. Very very very dark inky blue, patent glossy shiny yet soft pvc/vinyl exterior, .8mm thick shiny black rubber on the inside. Slightly padded with a thick drawstring pull around the hood and on the bottom hem below my butt! When all zipped in, hooded and drawstrings pulled tight, I am the happiest man alive! It cost me just over £800 to have made. It arrived three weeks ago. I have virtually live in it since! A ridiculous amount some will say, but, I spent over £1000 for two weeks in the Canaries two months ago. Thats been and gone. I'll be wearing my favourite kaggy for YEARS!!!!! Now which is better value for money! We will still have our holidays, but if it doesnt go with me, it'll certainly be there waiting to cheer me up on my return. Moral of my little story being, give yourself a real treat once in a while. Don't deny yourself. Life is too short. A bit like holidays! Shame when they end. Im hoping to be buried in my favourite investment! Definitely going to have matching trakky bottoms made. My everyday savings account is beginning to accumulate. Cant wait.

Sounds amazing. My sort of rainwear. I would probably go full length. Imagine climbing into that! I probably would never want to come out. Where did you have it made?

That is a lot of money, but I get your point. Especially as it involves two of my favourite materials, sbr and pvc! Where on earth did you find someone to create that?

A friend of a friend knew of a seamstress who, provided you supplied the materials and design, would and could make anything. At a cost of course. Based near Watford, she made bespoke film and stage costumes with the odd pj when she was not busy. It took weeks, but was worth the wait. I am still waiting for my matching bottoms. You have sewn a seed for a long length 'over the head'. That would be truly amazing!

The issue then is which one would you wear? I suppose both, although could be a tad on the warm side. One back to front would be a nice experience. Im getting a bit hot around the collar! Cold shower required! Would be interested to hear others comments.

Hi Kaggyfan.
Not heard from you in a while. Are you still wearing this amazing kagoul? Just back from Tenerife and thought of you!

Up until a couple of years ago, I'd never been into cagoules. I bought what I thought was just a shiny anorak off a chinese website. When it eventually arrived, it turned out to be a quarter zip kaggy! Very shiny glossy pu, with attached hood, best bit hood fully lined in the shiny pu. Better still £20! I loved the over the head arrangement. Drawpulls pulled in the bottom hem and the hood wonderfully. I've bought quite a few more. Great for multi-layering and just generally over indulging. They can be quite restrictive, which appeals to my self bondage streak!

Ive always enjoyed the restrictive feel of the cagoule. I have to say the idea of a full length over the head cagoule sounds like a lot of fun. I think it would especially appeal to the self bondage fans, although it could be a bugger to get out of if the bottom hem is tied tightly around the ankles! The idea of shiny black rubber inside shiny vinyl also sounds most appealing. Ill have to start saving up.
