Do you buy second hand?
Do you buy second hand?
Hi, just recieved my new rainwear, jackets and pants in thin swichy nylon. Bought it on a second hand sight and it is really nice. Both soft and swichy and pretty waterproof as well. Looks like brand new but must be quite olde.
Do you often by second hand?

Yeah definitely but second hand all the time. I feel you can find lots of stuff that is no longer in production and get a good deal on it at the same time. Bought a couple pairs of boots, waders, and suits second hand. Sometimes the condition amazes me. Only thing I hate if the previous owner was a smoker.

i get it second hand all the time unless it is damaged severely or it was from a smoker. idk if it is me but some of the raincoats i received smelled like smoke and it could possibly come from the carriers instead of the sender.
Re: Do you buy second hand?
I once bought a nice green plastic raincoat from an ebay seller; when it arrived it had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. I hung it in a back corner of my shop for a month or so, and the odor of smoke went away.

I love second hand more then new to be honest... I like the idea of the raincoat being worn previously by a woman before I get it, this is part of the arousal for me! <3

The raincoats and capes for my own use are (the current ones) new, it's difficult to get what I want in my size in good used condition.
A couple of years ago I had a used Stutterheim Lomma poncho but sold it for a better fitting Concert opal one.
The ladies' coats for my fashion shoots are some new and some used, of course the Rukkas are used as they are out of production for decades now. The best pieces - both bought used - are my shiny blue Rukka (no belt version without neck popper) and a Stutterheim Mosebacke long opal in "faded rose" in pristine condition. Made four fashion shoots with it last autumn and all models look fabulous in it, kinda no-brainer!

timeless fashion is the best fashion - classic "rubberized" raincoats are timeless

Understand what you mean, I also like the idea that a woman have worn it before and that goes for both rainwear and nylon down jackets. My wife and our neighbour wife often exchange cloathes they lay of. They give each other the possibility to reuse cloathes they have got tired of. Our neighbour wife buys a lot of cloathes and likes down jackets and my wife thinks she have enough, so she let them go. I have saved a few of them and I like the thought that our neighbour wife have been in them. We, our neighbour wife and I/we often walk our dogs together and I love to see her boobs bouncing in her shiny nylon down jackets.BooBoo3845 wrote: August 29th, 2024, 3:45 pm I love second hand more then new to be honest... And thats exciting to think of when I wear her laid of jackets.

Re: Do you buy second hand?
I'm always buying second hand rainwear. It's a bug and if I see a ladys shiny raincoat or leggings I just have to put it in my collection.
It's a hard addiction to give up.
I have boxes of different rainwear long short shiny most with hoods and mainly all ladys.
Some from years ago I collected when I was with my ex .

I am always on the lookout for useful second hand stuff(not just rainwear), but shiny rainwear is becoming hard to find now which is surprising when you think how common shiny rainwear was up until 30 years ago. A few days ago I saw in a charity shop a pair of black PVC trousers, but they were obviously a fashion item for women and I did not buy them.
