Just for fun, what is the most disappointing purchase of rainwear you have made? Or maybe not bought but something you thought was something but turned out to be something else entirely?
I’ll start - I bought a black PVC shirt off Amazon. When it arrived the look was lovely and shiny but it was stretchy (which I didn’t expect) and smelled strongly of dead-fish. The lining was a kind of scratchy polyester. Not expensive but unwearable. It went back for a refund.

Re: Most disappointing purchase?
For me, it has to be buying PVC rainwear from China, I've no problem with the look and feel of the materials, they're lovely, it's the sizing which more often than not doesn't match the description hence why I often have to have clear outs on ebay, I've had the same problem with expensive rubber suits as well, they're more disappointing than Chinese rainsuits due to the higher costs and greater expectation.

Re: Most disappointing purchase?
Bought a set of kway cagoule and trousers in what was billed as size large, then they arrived the cagoule was xxl and the over trousers small. I complained to the seller who simply never bothered to respond to me. Sadly the trousers were too small so I sold them on, i kept the cagoule but it swamps me.

It has to be from 3 sellers on this site. First person the package never arrived. Second person the first package arrived but the second one didn't. The 3rd person nothing showed up. I only but from reputable places now.
