It was a lovely 10 km round in the sunshine and 24 °C.
I can promise that we got pretty sweaty in our rubber boots!
She was wearing Le Chameau Vierzon and I was wearing Tretorn Sarek.
After 2 hours she started complaining that her socks were constantly slipping down. I put plasters on her heels as she was starting to get chafing. Even then she had wonderfully sweaty feet!
After 4 hours, we agreed to swap socks with each other as my socks should slip a little less and I didn't have any blisters.
When she took off her rubber boots, her feet just came out. The socks and plasters she had on her heels were still in the rubber boots.
Her trouser legs were soaked with sweat almost up to the knees.
When I reached down to pick up her socks and dropped the plasters, I felt how wonderfully warm and humid it was in her rubber boots.
She put on my sweaty socks without any hindrance and I enjoyed putting her wet socks on my feet!
When we got into the car, she took off her rubber boots and said:
"Finally my feet can breathe again!"
