I have a great urge to walk along Aberystwyth prom in my new SBR cape, in the rain, and in broad daylight. Hood hiding my face, and looking out for those 'knowing smiles' and those 'sheepish stares'.

And so I departed to Aberystwyth in the pouring rain early this morning. I was in full German red rubber suit under my SBR hooded cape from Weathervain, also high heeled black leather lace up boots with six inch heels. I parked on the prom and took a leisurely walk, the raindrops making a nice sound as they fell on the shiny black rubber. My heels made a nice sound with every step. There were quite a few people out and about, and I peered out from under my rubber hood with my face almost hidden. There were some very interesting stares and comments as I swished past. A child asked his Mum if it was Darth Vader! There were amused stares, knowing smiles and more than one long sheepish stare from boys. Almost back at my car I met a middle aged couple both wearing SBR mackintoshes. We made conversation and became friends. Arriving back home the sun came out.

I'm glad that you ventured out as planned in Aberystwyth this morning. You certainly had some fun turning a few heads on the promenade fully protected in your rubber mac and boots.
I also took advantage of the weather to spend the morning garden centre shopping wearing my long hooded rubberised red satin mackintosh and Hunter wellies with my better half protected in his black SBR mac and souwester.
We stopped at a pub for lunch where we received many complements on our sensible wet weather gear from other customers.
It's been a good Bank Holiday despite the weather. !!

It was supposed to rain hard in Swansea yesterday but apart from half an hour in the evening not much more, I think it all went to Aberystwyth !
On Wednesday it is supposed to pour down heavily all day so hopefully I will go for a drive to one of the beaches in Gower with my Grey Hunters, nicely polished SBR trenchcoat from Storm clouds and of course a matching Souwester.
There are sometimes locals who dress appropriately and venture down to the beach from the park with their dogs and a woman who normally is outfitted in a bright Yellow Ocean heavy duty PVC rainsuit who runs a local store where she has to go out the back to get Gas refills for customers. I had quite a long chat about the weather when I was there last, but I had on a Yellow Friesennerz style raincoat then.
