Not Quite There.

The 'rubberized satin mac' is the sexiest rainwear for any woman in my opinion but I'm floored by the cost (brand new anyway). Weathervain for example sells them for around 500 British Pounds which translated to Canadian Dollars is around 1000.00 not to mention shipping etc. The crackling and shining of the fabulous material and the classy double-breasted coats worn by the girls on the various clips on youtube are amazing. I would love to own one myself as well ,I imagine it feels incredible on naked skin. My girlfriend would look amazing in one of those macs- I've come close with a couple of shiny trenchcoats that I've bought her (and myself) but I can't quite afford 2000.00 !!!!!! Maybe something gently used will one day present itself.

Not Quite There. But ...............

Well this may help a bit. Since you are in Canada, you can do what we've done as we live in the US. Buy from Weathervain or somewhere else in Europe and claim that 20% of the cost is VAT which we don't pay. Did it twice with Weathervain and received the full amount back. Still pricey I know but the look of seeing the lady in shiny satin is .................................

Check out the rubberized trenches they have at Lakeland Elements. They're also a little pricey, but if you go through Rajkumar's American distributor they can be had relatively cheaply. I got one of their "Ghat" trenches in black single texture satin for $200 USD (including shipping) and the "Alex" in heavy red double texture satin for $285 USD. I have to say the double texture is the better buy as the heavier material has more structure & better overall construction to it (you won't have the smooth cool rubber lining against your skin, but it still has a nice enticing rubber aroma to it). Also note that they make the belts rather short for their trenches but if you ask them to make them longer (72" would be standard for a normal womens' trench - theirs are normally only 48-50" long) they will accommodate your request. Oh and also by default they only have two belt loops on them - for the red coat I asked them to add a third along the center back seam so the belt hangs better. And they will make them to measure, takes about 2-4 weeks from the time I placed the order to receive them directly from India. Go to Rajkumar's website (http://www.rkdrubber.com) for Donald's (the distributor) contact info.

I love the look & sheen of the black satin, but I was absolutely floored by the sight of my wife in the red satin...money well spent!
