Flickr is just getting worse & worse ...

Post by mason »

Flickr finally saw fit to dispense with the old Community Groups format *sigh*

I administer 7 groups and I'm also a member of another 350 groups.

It's certainly colourful, but that's about all I can say for it.

Otherwise their 'new' Groups page is a fucking dog's breakfast. It's far too graphics intensive and it is also far harder to find the group you're looking for with one or two turns of the mouse scroll wheel & a quick glance.

Now I've got to figure out how to channge the profile and cover images on the top of each individual page in what is a bloody rip off of facebook.

Blechhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It is just so user-unfriendly ... What were these arseholes thinking/smoking when they designed this dog's breakfast?

I can't even select a photo for my cover image. At least fucking FACEBOOK makes it easy for you there

Don't let it get to you. Mason! The IT zombies who are capable of writing a program don't live in the real world, so don't give a damn about how user-friendly it is. There was no need for a change, they did it to show how clever (in their minds) they are.

and there we have the problem with these IT types. It was the same with the computer I use at work. It worked fine, doing everything i needed in a reasonably quick manner. The IT guys decided they could improve it. Now it continually crashes at will. Why can these people not work on the if it aint broke dont fix it principle instead of having to tinker to justify their no doubt overinflated salaries
