What could be a better start?

Post by evad »

Well, it looks like Hurricane Earl is headed toward the New England (USA) coast- hopefully, it will stay offshore, and just give us the rain Friday night! What could be a better start to a vacation, but a little rain???

It has been a record breaking bitterly hot and dry summer here... Some of the trees are starting to turn colors- about a month too early!

I'm looking forward to tonight. Dark, windy and rainy. I'll top that off with a few beers and be both wet inside and out. :-)

How was the weather?
I saw on Yahoo News a lot of water at Hatteras Island. Did it rain,or came that water from the ocean ?
I am curious about it , here in The Netherlands (Europe :D ) we have very quiet and dry weather. :(

I'm not sure about Hatteras, I would think it came in from the ocean cause I dont think there was that much rain. Some places got a few inches of rain which I wish I would have had. I didn't get anything like they said I was supposed to get. By the time I was able to enjoy it, all the heavy rain was gone and there was no wind either. My wife was rather sick and in bed all day so I took care of both her and our daughter and that made it almost impossible for me to get out. Oh well, there's other storms out in the Atlantic, maybe another one will come my way???

Well, we got little to nothing- not even a steady rain, here in the Boston area... Heard that Nova Scotia got hit pretty hard, though.
