PU coated fabric and leggings

Post by Deleted User 415 »

Do any of you wear pleather or faux leather leggings (tights) or jeans with your rainwear and boots? More specifically, anyone wear the faux leather meggings sold by Asos? If so, how are they?

I discovered recently the appeal of faux leather and read a tag on some leggings sold by a store on the internet claiming they were PU coated. Knowing how some rainwear is PU now, it peaked my interest. It also peaked my interest to read one of the store customers calling that clothing "plastic". For this forum, that is a good thing not the bad thing the customer intended.

What brands of faux leather or pleather do you have and wear, especially PU coated jeans or leggings? Favorites?

Yes, those things are often made from a PU coated stretch fabric.
I do often wear things like that as sweat pants under my jeans.
Most of them are from h&m. But I do also have shiny vinyl Jeans from Phaze, Mango, zara and French connection..
We also used some very smooth pants from a German manufacturer as sweat pants and also in an altered form as pee pants for a relative. They were quite expensive originally but we got them very chep from an outlet store.

I wear wetlook leggings, and pvc leggings. The wetlook ones lose some of their shine after a couple of washes, but the pvc ones still look amazing.
