Question for Fender

Post by wellyboy »

Hi Fender,

I seemed to notice you are living in Germany. I was wondering if you ever see people wearing the lovely friessenerz raincoats of yesteryear?
I had several of them and loved wearing them wit the yellow, pvc side out.
I love it when wearing it with wellies in the rain.
Do you know if they are still for sale?

Check ebay out. I've found a lot of the classic yellow-navy "friesennerz" style coats for sale at fairly reasonable prices.

Thanks Bill. It really is a shame they aren't back in fashion. I remember Primark shops sold lots of them in the late 70s and throughout the 80s. Nearly all my girl friends wore them.
I remember my gf seeing me wearing mine for the first time and she got so excited and animated. She loved it, asked me where I got it and said she was going to get one.
And she did!
I don't remember seeing many guys wearing them. However, I always wore mine. My gf told me I was 'really cute in mine'!!.
Oh I long for those days to return!

Not for me, I'm afraid I don't have much of a budget for new rainwear for about the next month, having blown most of my discretionary funds on my rainwear "white whale", a pair of yellow Hunter wellies. I just posted that link for the rest of you if you're interested.
